Dentures

Dentures are a removable oral appliances that replaces missing teeth. They help restore your ability to chew, speak clearly, and maintain facial structure. 

Our services support patients getting their first denture, but also those needing repairs or wanting to upgrade an existing denture.  

There are several denture options available, and the right choice depends on your oral health, how many teeth are missing, your lifestyle, and your budget. 

At your first appointment, Dr Berge will meet with you to understand your dental history and journey but most importantly - to learn about the results you’re hoping to achieve.   

Is also referred to as a complete denture, it is an appliance that replaces an entire arch of missing teeth. A full denture rests atop your gums and relies on the roof of your mouth or lower jawbone ridge for support. You may need to use denture adhesive to keep your appliance firmly in place.

If you’re missing several or most of your teeth in one or both jaws, partial dentures may be an option. Partial dentures are similar to full dentures, as they also rely on your gums and underlying bone for support. But partial dentures also have special clasps that hook around your remaining natural teeth, providing additional stability. 

Sometimes people need tooth extractions before they can wear dentures. An immediate denture is a device you wear right after extractions. Once you’ve healed, it will be realigned as your final dentures. In other cases, you might be able to wear your final denture immediately after surgery. 

Is also referred to as permanent dentures or hybrid dentures, it is a non-removable appliance and only a dentist can remove them.
